In the heart of the old fishing village, in one of the most intimate and characteristic corners of Marzamemi, "Cortile Arabo, osteria di mare" finds its location. The sea is the main element that frames the courtyard; the ancient stones mix elegantly with the entrance wall's white and blue majolica tiles. Glimpses of the sea capture the attention of anyone passing through the courtyard; the air you breathe is steeped in saltiness, but also, in history, we are in one of the oldest tuna traps in Sicily. The essences of thyme, basil, sage and peppermint pervade the guests' senses with a menu designed to seduce the palate by enveloping it with simple flavours but with a substantial sensory impact. Fresh fish, Sicilian oil, aromas and freshly picked herbs from Osteria's private herbarium are interpreted by the mastery and creativity of chef Massimo Giaquinta for creating dishes that celebrate taste. The attachment to ancient culture is the starting point of the words formed, with a solid link to the way of cooking of the past and to raw materials. The research and collection of ingredients offered by nature are the basis of the taste of a dish.
